K-Mart is one of the most recognizable and trusted names in the discount department store business. Although many people have assigned negative connotations to the store (nice shoes, did you get them at Kmart?), they’d be surprised to find what K-mart has expanded into. If you’re spending on a budget, which many of us are nowadays, K-Mart is a great place to find generic versions of your favorite items. Kmart.com has an excellent stock of high quality appliances, clothes and jewelry among other things. Since K-Mart is a discount store, they do not offer an extensive selection of recognizable brands, but rather “substitute” versions of the styles and items you want and need. And since Sears’ recent acquisition of the K-Mart franchise, Kmart.com now features quality Kenmore cooking appliances and Sears’ Die Hard brand tool sets.
The only problem that we found with Kmart.com was that it has some difficulty loading pages in Internet Explorer. Though the browser does eventually support Kmart’s website, it takes longer to load than in other browsers. We’d recommend using Safari or Firefox when accessing Kmart.com, just to facilitate a more convenient shopping experience.
For some people, name brands mean everything. Those people shouldn’t be shopping at K-Mart. Kmart.com is a great place to find spectacular gifts and appliances. You don’t necessarily have to sacrifice quality to find a great deal on Kmart.com. In their jewelry department, they have some truly stunning diamond pieces as well as precious gemstones, all at prices that you’d never find from an ordinary jeweler. Often times, right before holidays, Kmart.com offers enormous discounts on their already bargain basement stock. Their Mother’s Day sale, for instance, offers up to 70% off of many items, as well as free shipping on jewelry purchases over $100. The sale only lasts for a couple of days (ending on April 24th), but allows shoppers to find some unbeatable steals on quality products.
Finally, we would like to point out that K-Mart is a very charitable company, who has raised over 70 billion dollars for charities since its inception. When you shop on Kmart.com, not only will you feel good about saving a lot of money, but you can feel good about supporting a company that takes care of people in need. It should feel good to save.
